The entrance to the Damen Naval headquarters was used as the background for a photo shoot by Vlissingen-based Zeeland Gymnastics School. The school’s competition squad, dressed in their new outfits, came along for a photo session on the grand staircase.

New competition outfits are bought every other year, enough reason for a new group photo, which was also taken in the prestigious HQ hall back in 2020. Why Damen Naval? “We think it’s a fitting location, because our gymnastics school is also located in Vlissingen,” explains Linda Scharpentier, trainer and coordinator. The link with Damen Naval goes way back. “The first training location in Vlissingen used to be in the Spiegelzaal of the Royal Schelde Shipyard in the Van Dishoeckstraat.” In addition, Damen Naval is a sponsor of the Zeeland Gymnastics School.
