On Saturday 8 July, the Timmerfabriek Apartments were officially opened. The robust hotel has 58 fully equipped lofts and flats and is the tenth hotel opened by Kloeg Collection in a short time after the nearby Hotel de Timmerfabriek and hotel boat Koningin Emma.

The Timmerfabriek Apartments building fits right in with the city’s maritime character. For example, the windows show the contours of cranes that can still be found in the area, and the design is coordinated with the other industrial buildings in Scheldekwartier.

As the name suggests, the Timmerfabriek Apartments are closely linked to the Hotel de Timmerfabriek. “The two are right next to each other,” explains Michel Kloeg, Kloeg Collection director. “It’s a great combination, for us but also for the guests. When you stay in Timmerfabriek Apartments you are completely self-sufficient with your own kitchenette and seating area, but you can easily use the services of the hotel too. For example, breakfast is served at Hotel de Timmerfabriek and guests can also stop by for a cappuccino, cocktail, drinks or sumptuous dinner at Gastrobar de Timmerfabriek.”

The lofts and flats are furnished with a seating area and have a kitchenette. Some flats also have a workspace with desk. This makes them suitable not only for a holiday, but also for people who would like to stay in Vlissingen for a longer period of time. Michel: “It is an attractive place for expats who want to live in Vlissingen temporarily, or for professionals who are active in Zeeland on a project basis. For them too, Timmerfabriek Apartments offers a nice ‘home away from home’.”
